Toy Modification taught by Lily Black.  The many diverse techniques of toy fabrication/modification are made incredibly simple in this class.

Classes are April 6, 13, and 20 from 5:30 to 7pm
 
Features
  • The Toy Modification class will be led by Lily Black at 1AM gallery. We are excited to introduce this class at it allows students of all ages to reinvent their toys and express themselves creatively through the process. This class will introduce basic model techniques and concludes by fabricating and finishing a custom Kidrobot Mini Munny of your very own! A brief history of model building will be outlined followed by an intro to tools, paints, adhesives, dry brushing, washes, weathering, and kit mashing. Students are encouraged to bring in their old toys, paints, kits, etc. to build on their custom Kidrobot Mini Munny (One Mini Munny will be provided to each student). Toy modification fun and safety is of utmost importance and will be a priority in this class.


  • This is a beginner class which is also suitable for more advanced modifiers

  • Basic materials, tools, and safety equipment will be provided.

  • Bring old toys, paints, and various parts to build on your creation.

  • All ages and all levels welcome. Parents can accompany their kids ages 14 and under for free.
